First Holy Communion
A child's First Holy Communion generally takes place in 2nd grade. If your child is entering 2nd grade, and does not attend Saint James School, please contact the office to get registered for CCD classes, which begin in the fall. Their First Holy Communion will then take place in the spring.
If private instruction has taken place, please contact the office to fill out a form and set up an appointment with the priest. He will evaluate their understanding of the sacrament and hear the child's First Confession. A date can be set at that time for their First Holy Communion to take place.
If the child was not baptized at Saint James, a copy of their baptismal records is required.
