Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
Are you looking to deepen your understanding of the Catholic faith?
Do you have questions about God, Jesus, or the Church that you are longing to explore? Have you felt a calling to become part of the Catholic church? Are you a Catholic that gets asked questions you can’t answer? If so, we invite you to join the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) at Saint James.
OCIA is a faith journey designed for those considering joining the Catholic Church or wanting to learn more about it. This program is open to:
- Those who are not baptized
- Those who are baptized in another Christian tradition and wish to become Catholic
- Catholics who were baptized but did not receive further formation or sacraments
- Anyone wanting to learn more
Through OCIA, you will have the opportunity to explore the teachings of the Church, ask those burning questions, and grow spiritually in a supportive environment. The program includes weekly sessions where we cover the basics of the Catholic faith and practice, as well as opportunities for prayer and reflection.
We will be having an introductory meeting September 16, 2026, to discuss what the OCIA process is and how you can enter into a process of inquiry so see if this is the path God is calling you to.
