Baptism Preparation for Parents and Godparents
Congratulations on the recent birth of your child!
We are excited to assist you as you prepare for your child's Baptism. Of course, preparing for Baptism is often accompanied by planning the party, choosing the godparents, and buying a white gown, but it is also a lifetime commitment for parents and godparents to raise a child in the difficult practice of the faith.
We want to help you to understand and prepare for that commitment. We are here to answer any questions and accompany you in this process, as you prepare to be the best parent or godparent that God is calling you to be.
Every candidate for baptism is required to provide a birth certificate, as it contains the information necessary for the Baptismal Record Book. Their Baptismal Record will hold every sacramental detail throughout the candidate's life. Therefore, it is imperative that the records be accurate and complete from the very beginning.
